Eco Expo Asia
- Creating a green hub for all in environmental protection
Eco Expo Asia is the only international trading platform in Hong Kong that showcases the latest innovations in environmental protection from around the world. It is also a premier venue for environmental professionals from commercial, governmental and non-governmental spheres to meet and exchange information as well as make quality business contacts.

The fourth edition of Eco Expo Asia returns with a new co-organiser, the Environment Bureau of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. This alliance will build on the success of the 2008 fair, which attracted 123 top quality exhibitors from 16 countries and regions and over 6,000 visitors from 89 countries and regions as well as 27 international buying delegations from Australia, Canada, the Czech Republic, Germany, the Guangdong Association of Environmental Protection Industry, Hungary, Osaka, Romania, Shenzhen, Tokyo and the US.

This year, in addition to expanding on the theme of transforming the Pearl River Delta (PRD) into a green and quality living area, visitors to the fair will also be able to view the latest environmentally friendly applications receiving the most attention in Hong Kong, South China and Southeast Asia. As such, Eco Expo Asia will also focus on air quality, energy efficiency & energy, waste & recycling and eco-friendly product, and be a “green hub” for all in environmental protection.

Fair Highlights:

This year, in addition to expanding on the theme of transforming the Pearl River Delta (PRD) into a green and quality living area, visitors to the fair will also be able to view the latest environmentally friendly applications receiving the most attention in Hong Kong, South China and Southeast Asia. Provincial and City Governments from Pan-PRD region will showcase their environmental technology and investment opportunities in environmental protection projects.
Eco Expo Asia will also focus on four exhibit areas namely: air quality, energy efficiency & energy, waste & recycling and eco-friendly product, and be a “green hub” for everyone involved in environmental protection.
The UK Pavilion, organised by the UK Trade and Investment (UKTI), will be one of the centres of attraction. Enterprises and university from UK will demonstrate the latest breakthroughs in environmental technology.
In addition to the highlighted pavilions, there will also be two new thematic zones making their debut at Eco Expo Asia this year - the Electric Vehicle Zone and the Service Industry Zone. A wide variety of related products will be on display.
The fair will open to the public on 31 October, when seminars will be held to educate the public on environmental protection issues.
 
 

Sino-French Seminar, Special Feature of Eco Asia Conference
Emphasising the importance and relevance of the Eco Asia Conference, the French Trade Commission, the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong & Macau and the University of Hong Kong’s Faculty of Architecture will hold the Sino-French Seminar on Housing & Building Energy–Efficiency at the Conference.

The Conference is considered to be one of the most significant environmental forums in the world by industry professionals featuring renowned international and local experts on environmental protection. The Conference’s Advisory Committee has selected a top-flight group of speakers this year, to deliver the most up-to-date findings on Green Production, Green Transportation and Green Building.
